Sandra's Training
Sandra earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University and received her initial, extensive questioned documents examiner training at the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Laboratory where she earned certification as a Handwriting Expert and Forensic Document Examiner. Several years later, she received additional, extensive, agency-specific training during her employment at the United States Secret Service Crime Laboratory where she also earned certification as a USSS Document Analyst.
Throughout the years, Sandra has maintained her proficiency by keeping abreast of developments in the field by participating in workshops and attending professional meetings where numerous technical papers are presented. During all this, Sandra worked diligently to earn her board-certification through the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners (ABFDE) where she is now also serving as a Director on the Board of Directors of the ABFDE.
About Sandra
Sandra has been practicing forensic document examination for over 20 years and maintains her document examination laboratory in Harrisburg, PA, but due to the nature of forensic document examination work, she is able to serve clients throughout the United States and beyond.
Sandra maintains memberships in the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) and the Mid-Atlantic Association of Forensic Scientists (MAAFS). She is also a member of the AAFS Academy Standards Board (ASB), which is an ANSI accredited Standards Developing Organization where she served for several years as Chair of the Forensic Document Examination Consensus Body.
While Sandra retired as a Lieutenant from the Pennsylvania State Police, she also considers it a privilege to have been able to serve in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) where she attained the rank of Sergeant (E-5) and was awarded numerous service medals in conjunction with her tour in the Middle-East.
When not working, Sandra enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, exercising their beloved Australian Shepherd, Jazmin, motorcycling, golfing, wintering in Florida, and travelling across the country in their RV.
